About Pam Murray

Pam Murray is a lifelong Nashville resident who has spent her entire career in service to the people of Tennessee. As a Licensed Therapist, Program Director, and CEO, she brings an extraordinary combination of leadership, empathy, and executive experience to the office of County Clerk.

A proud graduate of Maplewood Sr. High School, Pam holds a BS in Sociology/Urban Affairs from TSU and a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. She has lived in the same Nashville home for 42 years — because this community isn’t just where she works. It’s home.

Accomplishments for Our Community

During her seven years on Nashville’s City Council, Pam Murray didn’t just show up —
she delivered. From safer streets to stronger schools, her record speaks for itself.

Safer Neighborhoods

Reduced crime and rezoned District 5 to single-family homes, protecting the character and stability of Nashville’s residential community.

Youth Empowerment

Founded the “Back To Basics” Summer Youth Camp and the NEON Youth Patrol — investing in Nashville’s next generation.

$1.4M in Infrastructure

Secured over $1.4 million in funding for improvements to Dickerson Rd, Cleveland Park, Sam Levy, and Ross Elementary School.

Environmental Protection

Successfully blocked two landfills from entering District 5, protecting residents’ health and the environment for decades to come.
